Border operations
Where we cross
Every Axfer international load is pre-cleared before pickup — PARS/PAPS submitted at booking, broker looped in, documents imaged. By the time the truck reaches the line, the border is a checkpoint, not a decision.
We hold to five primary crossings where our FAST and CSA lane access is strongest, with fallback routings monitored around the clock for wait-time spikes.
- Ambassador Bridge — Windsor / DetroitPrimary Ontario–Michigan crossing for Toronto–Chicago and southbound team lanes.
- Blue Water Bridge — Sarnia / Port HuronPreferred overflow when Ambassador wait times spike; strongest FAST lane throughput.
- Peace Bridge — Fort Erie / BuffaloEastern corridor crossing for Montréal and Toronto loads bound for New York and Boston.
- Pacific Highway — Surrey / BlaineWest coast crossing anchoring the Vancouver–Seattle daily lane.
- World Trade Bridge — Laredo / Nuevo LaredoThe Mexico gateway: staged at our Laredo yard, crossed with no cargo transfer.
Your lane isn't on the board?
It doesn't need to be. If a road goes there, we quote it — usually in 15 minutes.
